Writing Life

Writing Is a Game of Patience

I wish I were joking about that… but I’m not

Writing has been one of my many tries at getting people to notice me and my creativity. It certainly hasn’t been easy to get there, mind you. Why do I feel that this is going to be one of those long posts?

Well, regardless of what this writing path of mine turns into, I need to persevere. Yes, I do. Why else would I write something like this post?

Perhaps… yes, I need to explain my point more, everyone. Writing is a game of patience and one that almost nobody has ever won. The act of writing is something I wish someone had explained to me before I started my journey as an author.

For me, writing is an escape, one I hardly have the time for these days. Yes, I know the common advice of making time to write, but try putting yourself in my shoes for a day… or a year. The year might be more accurate, come to think of it, especially if you want to know more about how I live as a person.

Anyway, the point I’m trying to make is that I live in a place where I don’t have the luxury of time to do what I want, and what time I have is being sucked away from me. Part of this is because I’m a gamer and a writer, which eats at my free time, and I hate that about myself.
