Thoughts on Finishing My Novel’s First Draft
I’m about four chapters (or something like that) away from finishing my first novel (and it’s for NaNoWriMo)!
Well, allow me to say this properly. I’ve written in this novel of mine for a long time, and I feel I’d have finished a lot quicker had I not scrapped and rewritten the first draft many times over by now. That sucks to be me.
*ahem* Anyway, moving right along.
I would have written this post sooner, I’ll admit, but I had a lot of stuff going on until now. For instance, someone hired me to write a short essay, then I found myself with no idea what I was going to do after I finished my job. I guess I should have gotten to work on my novel, but that’s not what happened, not one bit.
However, because of circumstances that I need to be careful about, I’ve gotten off track with my writing. Here’s a good reason it’s important I get back on track. It is concerning the novel I’m writing being something I intend to submit to a publisher one of these days… preferably sooner than later.
Seriously, I need to get back on track, and fast, all things considered. I’m at least four chapters away from finishing my novel, according to my outline. What all am I supposed to say about this situation?
