The time has come for being Game Master of the Cypher System

What it means to be a Game Master attempting to run the Ptolus setting (or my advertising pitch to get people to watch the game)

Okay, guys, this is the point where I tell you all the news. I’m currently preparing for a session of the Cypher System tabletop RPG created by Monte Cook Games. In terms of what that’s all about, well, there are several settings (okay, maybe not several, I’m just trying to get the point across) that have their own unique story to tell. For instance, there’s the first story setting that was created for the system, Numenera (Monte and the crew created that through Kickstarter funding). However, we’re not here to talk about the setting of Numenera, nor are we here to talk about most of the other settings. Instead, we’re here to talk about something far grander than most of Monte’s other creations. Hope you’re ready to hear what I have to say.

You find yourself outside a walled city, waiting to head inside through the front gate. There are caravans in front of you, all waiting to enter the city as well. Behind you, there are still even more people waiting to enter the luxurious place. Every one of you came armed to the teeth.
