Well, it’s official, everyone. I’ve been slacking off on my writing for the last couple of weeks. Whatever do I mean by this, I’m sure you wish to know, especially considering the idiocy that I’ve been promoting by not writing on this blogging platform?

Let me explain my reasoning, everyone. If you were to look at my Camp NaNoWriMo page and see what my current project’s word count is, you’d think I have a pretty impressive word count per day. I mean, who wouldn’t want 5,000 words in a day?

Lately, however, that number has gone and bitten me on the butt. Why? Because I’ve only written about 650 words in my NaNoWriMo project since April 8th, 2022, and that’s a complete bummer.

Now, granted, I’ve written about three-fifths of the words I need for this month by the 8th. That’s a major accomplishment, especially since I was planning on this novel being 150k words in total. Then again, I’ve since upped the total number of words that I need to write for the complete novel.

Why?

That’s an excellent question. Allow me to answer it.
