I have another friend
Another true story again?
I met this friend of mine, Silvia Martini, in the same writing community that I met Paul at. However, unlike Paul, Silvia is a tried-and-true Dungeon Master of the tabletop RPG Dungeons & Dragons. I got in touch with her so we could play together, her group and I, and I’m glad about it.
In the year 2014, give or take, I first got in touch with her as someone who was a writer. I was on a forum that FFN provided for the users to communicate with each other, and so was she, in the same forum.
Now, we talked with each other and the rest of the forum community, and, as one thing led to another, she was sharing details about her D&D world of Nexos with us. I was interested in playing with her and her group, so I asked if she’d mind if I played with her. Fortunately, she didn’t mind.
The first campaign she ran with me in the group was a homebrew campaign, meant to fit the world she had created, called Throne of Souls. It deals with an invasion on Bretonian soil by Normanian troops… hey, hold on a second! This sounds an awful lot like real-world history, right?
